TUZU Adjust Fountain Pen, Soft Grey

TUZU Adjust is an exciting new concept from Sailor, one of the oldest and most respected penmakers in the world. This is the first pen we've ever seen with an ergonomic grip that adjusts to the way you write, rather than forcing you to adapt to one ideal hand position.

The TUZU Adjust mechanism is simple: just unscrew the chrome band at the base of the grip, then pull the grip down, rotate it, and push it back up. The triangle-shaped ergonomic grip rotates in 10° increments, allowing you to adjust it to the angle that suits your natural writing grip. With the proper grip for you, TUZU hits the sweet spot on the nib more often than other ergonomic pens, with fewer hard starts and less skipping.

The rest of the TUZU design is just as fresh and utilitarian — it's an ultra-minimal tapered shape on the outside, with a spring-loaded clip in a slightly contrasting color. The cap is a snap-on, and there's a simple embossed circle at the flat top and bottom of the pen body. A tiny Sailor logo is printed on the exterior, and the chrome nib features the Sailor anchor logo. That's all the ornamentation you'll find on this utterly cool, Bauhaus-inspired design.

TUZU features a classic Sailor steel nib in either fine or medium. The fine is quite precise and responsive, with a pencil-like feel against the paper. The medium is inky and generous and has a smoother feel.

Another way TUZU Adjust fits with how you write: it comes with an empty converter, plus the usual two black ink cartridges. You can immediately fill your TUZU with your favorite fountain pen ink from any brand, so it'll feel like your pen right away.
