Horadam Gouache, 15 mL, Cadmium Trio

Pros know there's no substitute for cadmium pigments. They're expensive and toxic if ingested, but serious painters continue to use cadmium colors because their saturation, opacity, and overall character are not achievable with mixing or non-toxic replacement colors. Cadmiums are also much more lightfast than most newer alternatives. That's why the intensity and pure color of Cadmium Red and Cadmium Yellow are on view at every art museum in the world, in every exhibit dated after their discovery.

If you've never experimented with cadmium pigments (or if you just ran out), here's a Horadam Gouache bundle in celebration of modernity's most exciting inorganic pigment. The colors included are #344 Cadmium Red Light, #236 Cadmium Orange, and #224 Cadmium Yellow Light. All three are versatile colors for any style of painting.

What's that futuristic jar, you ask? Our Horadam Gouache Trios come packed in an indestructible 180 mL Tuff Vial made from polycarbonate. (It's the same kind of plastic used to make those classic reusable water bottles.) Crystal clear and leakproof, Tuff Vials have a million functions in the studio once you unpack your new paints.
