Classic Porcelain Slant Palette

This classic slant palette is a watercolor or gouache artist's best friend. With five slanted rectangular wells that allow you to dial in the concentration of each stroke and five flat round wells for paint straight from the tube, it has a perfect format for controlled mixing.

This palette is made from hand-glazed porcelain, the ideal material for a watercolor palette because the paint spreads evenly across the glass-smooth surface, allowing you to see each color before you apply it to paper. The palette is quite heavy (about 1 lb. in its packaging), which prevents it from moving around on the table. The parts of the base that touch the table are unglazed and a bit rougher than the mixing surface, further helping to keep the palette in place while you work.
