About This Product
Individually handcrafted by glass artisan Akiko Fukazawa, the Kakimori Glass Nib is a delicate and beautiful drawing tool that's an absolute delight to use. Unlike other glass pens we've tried in the past, this nib moves smoothly against all kinds of paper (even cold press watercolor paper), but it still has the precision and tactile feedback you'd expect from a glass nib.
In our studio tests, we were surprised by how versatile the Glass Nib was as a drawing tool. You can make uninterrupted fine lines with the narrow tip, or draw at a shallower angle for broad, brushlike strokes. It works with all kinds of ink and liquid watercolor, so it's an invaluable addition to the mixed media artist's kit.
Fitted with a brass ferrule shaped like a metal nib, so it fits in any standard dip pen holder. We recommend pairing your Glass Nib with a Kakimori Pen Holder and Kakimori Pigment Ink.
