Heavy Body Artist Acrylic, CMYK Mixing Set
You Save: $15.80 (26%)
We're proud to carry the full range of Holbein Heavy Body Artist Acrylic, a buttery smooth, maximally pigmented acrylic from our favorite color manufacturer in the world. In our tests, Holbein acrylic gave us sharper strokes and deeper color than other artist-grade acrylics. Despite its velvety texture, it also retained our brushstrokes more than the competition, making the final product look like high-quality oil paint.
This CMYK mixing set contains five full-sized tubes of Holbein acrylic in the five most important colors in contemporary art and design: cyan, magenta, yellow, black, and white. These colors offer the greatest access to secondary and tertiary mixed colors of any set of primaries, and they have become the industry standard in digital color mixing. Analog artists may be more familiar with Red/Yellow/Blue mixing, but just try CMYK and you'll find that bright orange and violet are much easier to mix and muddy colors are less of a problem.
