Pocket Pastel Set, Bright Colors

This pocket-sized (approximately 3" square) pastel set features a bright selection of basic colors: red, blue, dark green, light green, yellow, and pale peach. When used dry, they're classic hard pastels—less dusty than chalk or soft pastels, and capable of making precise marks with the square edges.

Surprisingly, these pastels are water-soluble and blendable! You can use the water-blendable pigment in a variety of ways, but our favorite is to draw with dry pastel on wet paper. The marks are dreamy and intense, with brighter color than any other application we tried. Blend with a brush or layer directly by drawing with the pastels.

Each pastel measures approximately 2.5". Made in Japan.
