About This Product
Made with fast-growing, renewable agave fiber, Hahnemühle Agave Watercolor is truly a unique artist-grade paper. The 70% agave content gives this cold pressed paper a distinctive texture and feel. Produced using the same cold press technique as Hahnemühle's other watercolor papers, Agave Watercolor has the traditional felt texture of fine watercolor surfaces. 30% cotton rag is used to give the paper more absorbency and strength.
But agave fiber, which makes up the majority of this paper's composition, is harder and smoother than cotton, which makes Agave Watercolor a perfect choice if you like your brushes to glide across the surface. Lifting colors is easier than with traditional watercolor paper, and big, smooth washes are simple to achieve as well. The organic, cold-press texture is still there, but you also get some of the advantages usually reserved for hot press paper.
This mini sample pad allows you to try Agave Watercolor and see if you want to buy the full-sized block. You can also use it for tiny paintings, of course!
