This 100% cotton watercolor paper from Sennelier is made in France, using the traditional technique: each sheet is made individually in a cylinder mold, pressed against natural felt to create the paper's surface. The resulting paper is thick, soft, and strong, with a more subtle texture than machine-made watercolor paper. The surface is not excessively sized, so it is not slick and water-resistant like cheap watercolor paper.
For this new line of Sennelier watercolor blocks, a distinctly European sensibility is evident in each design decision. The edges are glue-bound with green or red colored glue, with green indicating the cold press (lightly textured) surface and red indicating the hot press (smooth) surface. The covers feature engravings, rendered in sepia, of the paper making process. Each cover is adorned with raised green or red seals and text, and there is a die-cut triangular window to show the paper's texture at a glance.
This postcard-sized pocket block allows you to bring the highest quality paper with you as you travel and explore. A gap in the glue binding at the top of each page allows easy removal of your finished work; simply insert a thin blade or a ruler in the gap and gently cut through the glue under the finished page.
The Sennelier Classic Watercolor Block is A5 size, 210 x 148 mm (8.3" x 5.8"), a perfectly proportioned and manageable size that you can carry anywhere. Please note that this size is currently available only in cold press with green edges. 300 gsm / 140# weight. 20 pages per block. Made in France.

For orders under $59, domestic shipping rates start at $4.50. You can calculate your shipping cost in the cart or at checkout. For St. Louis residents, we also offer free curbside pickup. Just select "Pick Up" on the first page of checkout.
If there's a problem with your order, please contact our customer service team at firstname.lastname@example.org. If your order is damaged or defective, we will send you a prepaid return label and replace the item immediately. If you change your mind about an order, you can ship it back to us in new condition for a refund or exchange. However, if there is no error on our part, we cannot refund shipping charges or pay for return shipping. The deadline for all returns is 30 days from the delivery date. All clearance items, dated calendars and planners, and grab bags are non-refundable.
