Ceramic Pen Cup, Glacier

Produced in Mino, the historic center of Japanese pottery, this cup embodies the concept of wabi-sabi: the beautiful imperfection and roughness found in art and nature. Its ten sides, all of subtly different widths, are straight only at the heavy base. As they ascend toward the rim, the cup's walls jut out and change shape, like the side of a glacier.

This is a large and capacious pen cup, suitable for a large brush collection or the most pen-obsessed student. Made from white stoneware and finished with a speckled white glaze with blue streaks, it's as beautiful as it is practical.

Measures 4.8" tall by 3.6" diameter at the top. Holds about 25 pens, pencils, or brushes.
