About This Product
Turn any 5.6 mm lead holder into a complete sketching set with this box of smooth, highly pigmented artist's leads. The six colors in this set are classics for landscape and figure drawing, all ubiquitous in studios and art schools around the world: soft graphite, black chalk, oil-based sanguine, two shades of sepia, and one white chalk. With this range of tones and values, you can render any natural subject.
All six leads sharpen smoothly with a standard pencil sharpener, and they can be partially erased (with some ghosting) with a gum eraser.
A lidded plastic box is included for storage and transport. Please note that these sepia leads are quite soft and may break inside the case. When using a lead holder, this isn't a major issue, because the clutch can easily hold short pieces.
