About This Product
These glazed ceramic pen holders are made in the Mino region, the historical heart of Japanese pottery and the source of 50% of all ceramics made in Japan today. Available in three deep, complex colors, they have a wide and stable base so you can keep your favorite pen or brush close at hand. The indent has a wider part at the top and a narrower part at the bottom, so both big and small diameters can fit neatly inside.
The clay used for these pen holders is made with a unique process that incorporates 20% recycled pottery. Normally, baked ceramics do not biodegrade for over 1,000 years, so this clever waste-saving process keeps used pottery out of landfills.
