Hahnemühle's history dates over 400 years to its founding in 1584, and this German manufacturer has always been a leader in fine art paper. The Collection is Hahnemühle's celebration of the best techniques and materials, in formats that suit the contemporary artist. All of the paper pads in The Collection are made from 100% cotton rag, using the best of traditional and modern technology, with an ingredient list that is completely vegan and safe for archival use.

The Collection: Sketch is a cotton drawing paper that outshines other options for dry media like pencils, pastels, and charcoal. The pleasantly toothy paper has sufficient weight for all dry techniques and excellent durability under lots of scribbling and erasing. The texture of this paper is achieved by the use of natural felts in the drying process, creating pronounced pockets for graphite and pastel without the sterile uniformity of machine-made paper.

The pad is glue-bound at the top and backed with an extra-thick piece of chipboard. The cover features a clean, modern design with silver foil accents.

The Collection: Sketch is available in two sizes: A5 (5.8" x 8.3") and A4 (8.3" x 11.7"). Both sizes contain 30 sheets of 140 gsm paper made from 100% pure cotton rag.
