Holbein Gum Arabic Paste is a stiff texture medium for watercolors and other water-based pigment colors. Supplied in a metal tube, Gum Arabic Paste has the consistency of smooth jelly, which frankly makes it a lot of fun to use.
Mix watercolor into a blob of Gum Arabic Paste and apply with a brush as usual. Layered watercolor prepared with Gum Arabic Paste takes on a smooth, gelatinous texture with increased gloss and excellent transparency.
