About This Product
Banshu-ori is a yarn-dyed fabric from Japan's Banshu region, produced for more than two centuries and used by textile companies across the world to make clothing, furnishings, and other goods. This limited-edition notebook from Kakimori uses a new, sustainable banshu-ori, made in the same tradition, but using factory floor cuttings and recycled synthetic fibers to make something new.
Inside the gorgeous cloth-wrapped hard cover, there's premium fountain pen paper (specifically, OK Fools Pure White, one of the best writing papers in the world.) Each page is printed with a subtle grey grid, allowing you to use the lines or ignore them as needed.
These books are Smyth-sewn, a durable stitched binding technique that allows the book to open into a perfect, flat, A4 spread. Designed for everyday use and a long life afterward on your shelf, Kakimori hardcover notebooks are perfect for journaling, writing, and other projects you want to preserve. They also make lovely gifts.
Each notebook comes in a cardstock slipcover that matches Kakimori's other products. 128 pp. A5 size (5.8" x 8.3"). Made in Japan.
