About This Product
This sophisticated sumi brush is made with natural bamboo and a finely selected blend of sable bristles. A finer, more precise type of sable is used for the longest hairs, in the middle of the brush, and a more absorbent type is used for the shorter hairs around the outside. The master brushmakers at Boku-Undo in Japan shape each brush by hand, ensuring a long, resilient point for expressive linework and big, painterly strokes.
Use the Premium Sable Sumi Brush for any project with watercolor, bottled inks, and traditional sumi ink stones. We love it because it can make so many different shapes and sizes, so in many cases you can use just this brush to complete a piece.
