Amsterdam Acrylic Gesso is a smooth, easy-to-apply primer for acrylic and oil painting on a wide variety of surfaces. Use it to prepare canvas, wood, hardboard, paper, and many other types of painting supports. The primed surface allows paint to adhere easily, preventing cracking, allowing for saturated brushstrokes, and better preserving your finished work.
Amsterdam Acrylic Gesso is consistent, quick-drying, and archival. Supplied in a wide-mouth 250 mL jar, so it's easy to dip your gesso brush.
Transparent Gesso goes on milky-colored and dries almost totally clear. Perfect for priming wood, raw canvas, and other surfaces with color and texture you don't want to cover up.
