This is Fujix Silk Art Thread, a 100% silk, three-ply thread that's designed for fine fiber arts. With unsurpassed luster and outstanding elasticity, it's perfect for lace tatting, very fine crochet, passementerie, and decorative stitching. It's available in a range of richly hand-dyed colors, including several variegated options.
This "Z-twist" fiber is spun in the opposite direction of embroidery floss and knitting yarn (both are typically "S-twist"). That means that it has a totally different set of pros and cons than S-twist. Z-twist fibers do not spread out; they don't easily come apart or fray; and, they are resistant to splitting. However, Z-twist fibers are more prone to twisting and tangling than S-twist. For stitching projects, you may need to let out the twist that develops as you work the thread.
Supplied on 10 meter (one-gram) spools, Fujix Silk Art Thread is easy to dispense and a pleasure to use. It slides through needle eyes and fabric with impressive ease. Each color is sold separately.

How quickly will my order ship?
Our St. Louis warehouse team is pretty speedy! We generally ship orders within one business day of receiving them. You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order's packed and out the door.
How long will it take to arrive?
We offer shipping estimates for each order at checkout. Please note that these are only our system's best guess — there are many factors that may affect shipping time.
Generally speaking, our parcels take about 2-3 business days to travel to most U.S. addresses once they are shipped.
