HEX-O-MATIC: A Classic in Brass
Retro51's Hex-O-Matic mechanical pencil is made almost entirely from brass — from the sturdy lead clutch to the weighty, balanced barrel. Inspired by the legendary early mechanical pencils of the 20th century, Hex-O-Matic offers streamlined aesthetics and smooth, steady performance for serious writing or drawing.
Starting from the tip, please note Hex-O-Matic's features: a strong lead sleeve that makes it easy to draw against a straight edge. Then, a knurled brass grip, pleasantly tactile and grippy but not too rough. A hexagonal brass barrel that won't roll. A spring-steel clip that won't break. A reliable click-to-advance mechanism is at the back, and under the back cap there's a replaceable eraser.
Hex-O-Matic accepts 0.7 mm lead of any hardness and brand. Refill erasers should be Retro51 brand (sold here.)
