About This Product
These little red boxes were the retail package for millions of pen purchases from the late 19th century through the 1950s. We carry a wide range of vintage Esterbrook dip pens, so we tend to accumulate the empty boxes, and these cute dozen boxes are our favorite. About 2" long and big enough for about 20 nibs, they are mainly slide-out designs and mainly colored red, black, and gold.
Please note that you will receive a random box and they are in various conditions and designs. We've checked each box for structural integrity, but keep in mind that they are up to 90 years old. Even the nicest ones have some shelf wear, and some of the more weathered boxes have staining, handwritten prices, and other superficial damage. There are also some interesting one-offs in the mix, like differently designed Esterbrook mini boxes that held scratch knives and lettering pens.
