The YSTUDIO STAT-19 Portable Fountain Pen is made from solid brass and painted with a black matte lacquer that's designed to gradually wear off over the years, like the black brass cameras of the 1970s. A few brass edges are strategically left uncoated, so that right from the beginning you can see the metal underneath. And for those who want a weathered look right away, YSTUDIO has included a sheet of sandpaper in each box.

The STAT-19 Portable Fountain Pen features a steel nib from Schmidt, made in Germany by one of the world's leading pen companies. Available in your choice of fine (approx. 0.5 mm) or medium (approx. 0.7 mm), the Schmidt nibs are springy and accurate, with excellent ease of use and low maintenance. Designed for many years of service, a Schmidt nib is one of the world standards and will suit almost any writer.

The body of STAT-19 is unique—designed for traveling securely with your favorite new fountain pen. The cap features a hang hole, and the box includes a carabiner to hang the pen on a bag or around your neck. A specially sized plastic carrying case is also included, for optional extra protection on your travels.
