About This Product
Made from extra thick washi paper, this postcard pad can handle watercolor, ink, and gouache. Then you can drop it in the mail! Although the markings on the reverse of each card are in the Japanese format, the size qualifies for a postcard stamp in many countries, including the United States.
We like the smooth but organic feel of this paper, somewhere in between traditional cold press and hot press. You can easily use fountain pens on the finely textured surface.
30 postcards per pad. Measures 4.3" x 6".
Made in Japan.
About Furukawa Paper Works Co., Ltd.:
Furukawa Paper Works has been dedicated to making beautiful washi paper since 1835. Located in Mino City, Gifu Prefecture, Furukawa sits at the heart of traditional Japanese papermaking. Washi paper has been manufactured in Mino since the eighth century from the bark of the paper mulberry tree. Mino washi is so special and historically important that it has a place on the UNESCO List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Today, Furukawa carries the tradition of Mino washi forward with stylish stationery that connects people with one another and reminds them of the natural world. We are very pleased to stock a growing selection of paper products from Furukawa Paper Works.
