This 3.5" porcelain saucer is a perfectly simple mixing surface for watercolors, gouache, and ink. Dab a little full-strength paint on the edge of the dish and gradually mix as much as you need with water in the flat bottom. Unlike plastic palettes, which make water-based paints bead up, porcelain allows the paint to spread out naturally so you can see the color you're mixing.
