Ranger Archival Ink Pad #0 (2" x 3")

Ranger ink pads are the gold standard for artists & makers who want a sharp, saturated stamp impression, every time. These thick, ink-loaded pads easily release color onto your stamp, and the color is even brighter and more impressive on paper. Use them on most surfaces, including matte or glossy paper, plastic, wood, fabric, and glass. (For smooth surfaces, heat-setting is recommended.)

Please note that these are dye-based inks, and they will fade if displayed in direct light. For your notebook, scrapbook, or lo-fi zine, it's a great way to add bright color. For printmakers, it's a quick way to make low-cost, temporary prints (like fliers and workshop handouts) or to rapidly test your block before making a print with pigment ink. But it isn't lightfast, so please scan or photograph your work if you want to preserve it forever.

With that caveat out of the way, these inks are actually much more durable than others of their class. They are acid-free, and therefore won't damage the paper in a notebook, even over long periods of storage. They're waterproof, so you can draw or color over your stamps. And they don't smear easily, even on smooth surfaces.
