GraphGear 500 Mechanical Pencil
Pentel was one of the first mechanical pencil companies in the world, and today they still make several of the best models. The GraphGear 500 is a mid-range pencil in Pentel's lineup, but it's recommended over more expensive pencils by many enthusiasts because it offers such dependable performance. The nose cone secures the lead and prevents any wobbling or movement during writing — a common issue with many pencils, but not this one.
Of course, all the other important details are covered: a brass clutch mechanism for years of slip-free service, an eraser hidden under the back cap, color-coded buttons to indicate the lead width and a spinning hardness indicator, a spring-steel clip, and a knurled metal grip. The barrel is grey plastic, which lightens the pencil at the top, centering the weight near the writing surface for neater and more precise mark-making.
GraphGear 500 is available in 0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.7, and 0.9 mm. Comes with Pentel lead in HB hardness; refill with any brand and hardness. Sold individually. Made in Japan.

How quickly will my order ship?
Our St. Louis warehouse team is pretty speedy! We generally ship orders within one business day of receiving them. You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order's packed and out the door.
How long will it take to arrive?
We offer shipping estimates for each order at checkout. Please note that these are only our system's best guess — there are many factors that may affect shipping time.
Generally speaking, our parcels take about 2-3 business days to travel to most U.S. addresses once they are shipped.
In a hurry? We offer expedited shipping options, including overnight shipping, at checkout.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We never guarantee delivery dates because carrier delays are not within our control. We do not issue refunds due to delays in transit.
Do you accept returns?
Yes — we accept returns of unopened, undamaged items within 30 days of receipt.
