This extra-wide sharpener is specially designed for STABILO Woody pencils. It has a mechanism that removes excess wax at the same time that the wood is sharpened by the blade on the other side.

Woody is such a versatile sketching tool because it combines many of the functions of pencils, pastels, and paints in one portable stick. You can sharpen and draw with Woody (try using a knife to cut down the point even more and create hard edges in the soft lead.) You can get it wet and blend it, creating surprisingly bright colors. Or you can lay it down in thick layers, like an oil pastel, using the lighter colors as dry blending sticks.
Great for serious artists (they are even printed with lightfastness ratings on the side) but also non-toxic and suitable for kids, Woody is the rare art supply that brings all skill levels and ages together.
About STABILO:
Almost two centuries ago, STABILO began as a pencil manufacturer in Nuremberg — the cradle of German pencil production and still the home of many pencil brands. The geography of the area includes both graphite and clay deposits, so Nuremberg was a perfect place to open a pencil factory in the 19th century.
The famous swan logo was added in 1865, when Gustav Schwanhäusser purchased the company and gave it the "Schwan" from his name. A red swan is still found on most STABILO products today, marking the quality and heritage of the brand.
Today, STABILO makes much more than pencils (they are especially known for office pens and highlighters in Europe), including a bustling cosmetics division that manufactures branded products for companies like Chanel and Revlon. How quickly will my order ship?
Our St. Louis warehouse team is pretty speedy! We generally ship orders within one business day of receiving them. You'll receive a tracking number by email as soon as your order's packed and out the door.
How long will it take to arrive?
We offer shipping estimates for each order at checkout. Please note that these are only our system's best guess — there are many factors that may affect shipping time.
Generally speaking, our parcels take about 2-3 business days to travel to most U.S. addresses once they are shipped.
In a hurry? We offer expedited shipping options, including overnight shipping, at checkout.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We never guarantee delivery dates because carrier delays are not within our control. We do not issue refunds due to delays in transit.
Do you accept returns?
Yes — we accept returns of unopened, undamaged items within 30 days of receipt.
If your return is because we made a mistake, we'll pay for the return shipping label. If you're returning an item because you changed your mind, return shipping is at your expense.
