CHARBONNEL BLACK LUXE C

Black Luxe C is one of seven black inks available in the Charbonnel Water-Washable lineup. Stiff and viscous, with a slightly bluish tone, Luxe C is mainly used to intensify the other black inks in the range. Standalone use of Luxe C is not recommended for most techniques; use one of the Charbonnel mediums to dilute it, or mix with other Water-Washable Inks.

INKS FOR MODERN PRINTMAKERS

These impressively pigmented, oil-based printmaking inks from Charbonnel have a special feature: they clean up easily with regular soap and water. In fact, these inks are actually easier to clean up than acrylics because they take so much longer to dry on the inking plate. Acrylics have to be scraped off, while Charbonnel Water-Washable Oils simply dissolve under hot water. No solvents or hazardous chemicals needed.

VERSATILE, INTENSE, LUXURIOUS

Charbonnel Water-Washable Inks roll out easily, mix beautifully, and can be modified with Charbonnel mediums to achieve almost any effect or technique in traditional printmaking. The most popular use for these inks is linocut printmaking, but they can also be used for woodcut, intaglio, etching, aquatint, mezzotint, and drypoint.
