St. Louis Art Supply started in 2015 as a small, neighborhood shop. Over the years, a few things have changed — we're now one of the best-known online shops for fine art materials, with customers in all 50 states. We manufacture our own line of products under our Federal Color brand. We import exclusive items from Japan and Europe.

Gansai Tambi Granulating Colors, Five-Color Set #2
Five new special-effect colors for 2025! By popular demand, Kuretake has added five new colors to last year's blockbuster Granulating Colors lineup.
These special Gansai Tambi watercolors feature pigment blends that granulate intensely when mixed with water. Each color contains several different pigments with different characteristics, so that when they're applied to wet paper, they naturally separate and form unique patterns and color variations. It's an eye-catching effect that's useful for both realistic and fantastical painting projects.
The colors included are Phantom Pink, Phantom Green, Phantom Turquoise, Phantom Blue, and Phantom Violet. An empty Gansai Tambi pan is included—try using this pan to mix your colors with water, which enhances the granulating effects.
