Gansai Tambi Opal Colors Set

Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolors are a perennial favorite of painters and calligraphers, and the range of colors just keeps getting better! These Opal Colors look white in the pan, but magically turn bright and shiny when used on black watercolor paper, like Stonehenge Aqua Black.

Like all traditional Japanese watercolors, these Opal Colors are thicker and more opaque than Western paints. This set, part of Kuretake's line of Gansai Tambi watercolors, uses mica flakes to achieve a shiny, metallic look in six pearlescent colors. Just add a drop of water to the pan and load your dip pen with a clean brush.
