We've been offering free gift wrap since we were a tiny, zero-employee neighborhood shop in south St. Louis. We're a little bit bigger now, but our awesome team still takes the time to wrap your gifts with care and attention.

This year, we've given our materials and wrapping process an upgrade, with cozy holiday colors, new custom tissue, and sticker seals designed by Curt, our resident artist. Our trusty red kraft paper is still here, along with the humble, charming twine we've always used to wrap your gifts. Check out the photos below to see some examples of our wrapping.

Another thing that hasn't changed: our gift wrap is still free year-round. We're happy to make your gift shopping a bit easier, and we hope we can help you make your loved ones smile.

Free Gift Wrap

By default, we will assume that everything in your order is for one person and that you want everything wrapped.

Want us to group gifts for each of your recipients? Want certain items left unwrapped? Tell us in the box below.

NOTES

Please note: we cannot honor requests to wrap every item individually. Combining items for the same recipient allows us to fill your orders more quickly and makes our parcels more efficient to ship.

Furoshiki

Wrap your gift in another gift.

Furoshiki are patterned cloths, commonly used in Japan to wrap lunchboxes, bottles, and other everyday items. They are a lovely reusable alternative to gift wrap that can be given again by your recipient or used for a wide variety of other purposes. You'll notice our furoshiki in many of our studio photos, because we're always using them to rest our painting water cups, dry out our palettes, and cushion hard objects on our glass table.

We're pleased to offer furoshiki from Miyamoto Co., a textile firm operating in Osaka since 1949. These cloths are 100% cotton with a fine, elegant weave. They're soft to the touch but smooth and pleasantly heavy so they fold and tie neatly.

Small furoshiki measure 20" x 20" and are ideal for wrapping a book, a watercolor set, or other small to medium sized objects. Large furoshiki, the most common size in Japan, are 28" x 28" and are big enough to wrap a large paint set, a stack of notebooks, or a small canvas.
