About This Product
This hake brush from Yasutomo has a unique structure: two ribs and a bit of easily breakable glue hold the brush sections together, so they can be made into separate sections if desired. You can wiggle and pull sections off the ribs, as shown in our photos, which will leave only the dab of glue holding the smaller part together. Or, you can snap the wooden ribs into two pieces at any of the sectional gaps, creating two stronger brushes that can't be put back together.
However you slice it, this hake brush is a useful tool for large washes in watercolor and ink. With a 2.5" width to start, it's a cheap and effective brush for covering large areas. Made from soft, voluminous sheep hair.
