Extra Fine Desk Pen, Red

Platinum's pleasingly springy, very fine Desk Pen is a cult favorite, and rightfully so. Equipped with a simple steel nib in extra fine and capable of accepting the best waterproof ink cartridges on the market (Platinum's own Carbon Ink), it's a powerful instrument for writing and drawing. The distinctive brushlike shape makes Platinum Desk Pens well balanced and easy to hold, and the nib requires no pressure to produce a skipless line.

Some line variation is possible with the Desk Pen, from less than 0.2 mm with feather-light pressure to about 0.5 mm with a heavier hand. Please keep in mind that the lifespan of the nib is reduced by flexing, so if you want to keep your Desk Pen for years, press lightly. But for artists and those who love expressive, flowing writing, why not flex it and replace it later? This pen is inexpensive enough to make the occasional replacement reasonable.
